World Wide Web

Hi,

The title of the article says a lot in its self. World Wide anything is a bold statement to make because to have something be world wide it needs to be huge! The article talks about how the world wide web had certain expectations before it was available. The idea behind the world wide web was to offer a place that is full of information and knowledge that is available and from all around the world. These expectations were met and then some. The world wide web became so popular and abundant that it grew to unimaginable proportions. The world wide web is full of information from all over the world. The one downfall is viruses and hackers. With the amount of options available on the web it is easy to hide a virus or steal information. Having so much information is great but it has its flaws. As long as you are careful though everything should be fine.

  1. I'd have to agree with you on that. The world wide web is not what it used to be before. Personally, I've encountered way too many viruses, hoax, gossip, and creeps that I decided to keep my online identity to a minimal. You just need to be careful with who you trust on the internet. For example, false “reset password” email notifications are a big hit to adults that aren’t as tech savy. These hackers pretend to represent companies like google by making a fake gmail account and spamming thousands of gmail account users to provide them with their username and password.
However, the world wide web isn’t as bad it sounds. I do believe that the world wide web does provide many great resourceful information. With today's information, you can pretty much "google" anything and get an answer from.
